Use this guide to put nice clean, straight edge bevels on your soap bars! This handy little tool makes it easy to keep your bevels consistent.
I tried for years to get the hang of using the vegetable peeler method, but I was never happy with the variations in depth it produced. This tool solves that problem simply and easily.
This listing is for a single bevel guide. You can use this guide with your own favorite icing spatula or other similar knife or scraper- or you can grab one of my 3d printed scrapers (sold separately) to go along with it.
Three sizes of bevel guides are available to produce various widths of bevel: Narrow size produces a bevel about 0.13 inches or 3.3 mm wide; Medium produces a bevel 0.18 inches or 4.5 mm wide; Wide produces a bevel 0.29 inches or 7.4 mm wide. I have tried to represent these measurements as best as possible in the images, but please do not hesitate to message me if you need further information.
This listing is for one 5 inch long bevel guide. The 4 inch long bevel guide is available in a separate listing. Please remember to allow yourself a bit of wiggle room as soap heights and tops tend to fluctuate. My soaps are typically about 3.5 inches tall, and the 4 inch guide works perfect for them. However, if I pour a higher top, I need the 5 inch bevel to avoid damaging the top while beveling.
These tools are printed on demand, so please allow for 1-3 days processing before shipping. The material used is polylactic acid, also known as PLA. This is a thermoplastic monomer derived from renewable, organic sources such as corn starch or sugar cane.
PLA is heat sensitive and can be degraded by solvents. Please only hand wash your tools with warm (not hot) water and a mild dish detergent. Tools should never be washed in a dishwasher or with alcohol or other harsh chemicals.
I am still new-ish to the 3D printing world, but if you need a custom size guide, or a different custom tool, I will do my best to produce it. Send inquiries to email@example.com
